Olga Theuriet et Jessye Wdowin-McGregor ont chacune en leur temps commandé le catalogue de Hessie édité par ma galerie en 2015. C’est comme cela que nous sommes entrés en contact. De nombreuses collaborations ont suivi avec Olga Theuriet, me faisant découvrir l’importance et l’originalité de son travail en constante évolution, dans lequel le travail premier d’écriture donne corps à un langage de formes qui lui est intimement lié. 

Dans l’exposition, Olga Theuriet présente une grande œuvre en hommage à Hessie, conçue et réalisée lors de de sa résidence à l’Atelier Blanc de Villefranche-de-Rouergue du 15 avril au 31 mai 2024, et exposée au Moulin des arts de Saint-Rémy du 22 juin au 29 septembre 2024.

Par l’invitation qui lui a été faite de « répondre » à Hessie et plus particulièrement au papier perforé de Hessie « Temps perdu », Jessye Wdowin-McGregor  a réalisé récemment un ensemble de pièces brodées qui s’adressent à Hessie comme une offrande à son art et à cette exposition.

Olga Theuriet and Jessye Wdowin-McGregor both ordered the Hessie catalogue published by my gallery in 2015. That’s how we got in touch.  Numerous collaborations followed with Olga Theuriet, making me discover the importance and originality of her constantly evolving work, in which the primary work of writing gives shape to a language of forms that is intimately related to it. 

In the exhibition, Olga Theuriet presents a large-scale work in homage to Hessie, conceived and produced during her residency at the Atelier Blanc in Villefranche-de-Rouergue (Aveyron) from 15 April to 31 May 2024, and exhibited at the Moulin des arts in Saint-Rémy from 22 June to 29 September 2024.

Jessye Wdowin-McGregor was invited to “respond” to Hessie, and more specifically to the perforated paper by Hessie “Temps perdu”, and has recently produced a series of embroidered pieces addressed to Hessie as an offering to her art and to this exibition.
