L’exposition Poem (2) organisée par Arnaud Lefebvre à la Galerie Ivana de Gavardie est une suite de l’exposition précédente Po(m), qui posait la question : une exposition peut-elle être un poème ?
Poem (2) se composera à la fois : d’une exposition « permanente » : l’installation EKG of the AL Gallery de Rosemarie Castoro, et de la série des Red Classics de Robert Huot et Carol Kinne, et d’évènements d’un soir consacrés au travail spécifique d’une ou deux personnes. La plupart de ces évènements ponctuels seront liés à un livre publié ou en cours de publication ou encore à l’état de manuscrit. Mito Songs de Michael H Shamberg, recueil de photographies ou « Journal intime » en images du cinéaste et de l’initiateur des Turtle salons. Jeudi 24 mai à 19h.
Langage féminin et masculin du corps, Reflet de l’ordre patriarcal de Marianne Wex (1979 pour l’édition allemande, 1993 pour l’édition française de Marc Peeters), travail féministe, artistique et sociologique très inspirant. Jeudi 31 mai à 19h.
Van Gogh le canard de Christophe de Vareilles: “installation verbale & artiste contemporain” Van Gogh le canard est un espace de création au cours duquel un artiste contemporain s’élabore et s’engendre pas à pas, courageusement, laborieusement et poétiquement. La pièce est composée de deux regards complémentaires, celui d’un narrateur objectif (concerné voire attendri), et celui de Van Gogh lui même, très subjectif et plus introverti. Le « Journal de Bopa » de François Baclesse, témoignage quotidien de l’histoire publique de la recherche médicale contre le cancer pendant la seconde guerre mondiale et de l’histoire privée de mon grand-père. Ryo Takahashi et Marie-France Jean présenteront un dialogue franco-japonais d’onomatopées mêlant enregistrement et performance. Puis Christine Herzer lira sa poésie, tirée de son dernier manuscrit. Jeudi 21 juin à 19h. vidéo de la performance de Marie-France et de Ryo vidéo de le lecture de Christine Herzer The Tenants of the Hôtel Biron de Laura Marello, qui enquête sur la grande époque moderne de l’art français autour du lieu réel de Rodin, et à travers les écrits fictifs d’Eduard Steichen, Camille Claudel, Picasso, du Douanier Rousseau, de Matisse et de Satie. The show Poem (2) organized by Arnaud Lefebvre at the Galerie Ivana de Gavardie continues the previous Po(m) exhibition that asked the question: can a show be a poem?
Poem (2) will be made both of a “permanent” show: the installation piece EKG of the AL Gallery of Rosemarie Castoro and the Red Classics series of Robert Huot and Carol Kinne,, and of several one-evening events dedicated to the specific work of one or two people. Mito Songs of Michael H Shamberg, a collection of photos or image “diary” of the filmmaker and initiator of the Turtle salons. Thursday May 24 at 7 pm.
“Female” and “Male” Body Language as a Result of Patriarchal Structures of Marianne Wex (1979 for the German and English publication, 1993 for the French publication with Marc Peeters here exhibited), a very inspiring feminist, artistic and sociological work with a large scope. Thursday May 31 at 7 pm.
Van Gogh le canard (Van Gogh the duck), “a verbal installation & a contemporary artist” by Christophe de Vareilles: Van Gogh le canard is a space of creation in which a contemporary artist originates himself little by little, courageously, laboriously and poetically. The work showcases two complementary views, that of an objective narrator (concerned if not tender), and that of Van Gogh himself, subjective, more introverted.
The “Bopa’s Diary” of François Baclesse, a daily testimony on the public history of the medical research against cancer during World War II, and on the private history of my grandfather. Thursday June 14, at 7 pm.
Ryo Takahashi and Marie-France Jean will present a French-Japanese dialogue of onomatopoeia that will mix recording and performance. Then Christine Herzer will read her poetry from her last manuscript. Thursday June 21 at 7 pm.
